Just wondering how long the footpath round the eastern end of Tate Modern has been open. I've lived round here for over 3 years now and it's always been fenced off but I noticed today that it's open. I wonder why the sudden change of heart. Is it anything to do with the tunnelling going on ATM?

This pathway opened a couple of months back. A real boon for anyone trying to get to the Millenium Bridge from Park St or vice versa.

Why was it closed for so long? A bit of a mystery but, now that its open, a great addition to public access along the Thames Pathway.
