I understand that the council have told the parking attendants not to issue any tickets to vehicles parked in Lafone Street north of the bollards (ie within the pedestrian zone).
Could be useful (if true).

Useful? - I live on Lafone Street and hope there are no cars parked in the pedestrian zone

(the clue is in the name of the zone)

There are only 2 motor bikes and 1 car there now (3.30pm Friday 16th May) - the rest must be away for the weekend!

"Pedestrian Zone" doesn't actually mean what it says - but it sounds good to the council.

What does it mean then?

I must sincerely apologise to everyone - there is no Pedestrian Zone in Shad Thames!

A "Pedestrian Zone ENDS" (so the sign says) in Shad Thames at the junction with Horselydown Lane - but it doesn't start anywhere!

Where Curlew Street joins Shad Thames there is a sign that says "Vehicular Access STRICTLY PROHIBITED Unless between the hours of 8-11am and 4.30-6pm". But there is no mention of a Pedestrian Zone.

Perhaps it starts in Greenwich.
