I use Advanced Dental Practice on Bermondsey Street (off Long Lane, near Tower Bridge). The Hygenist there is excellent, as are the dentists.

Tooth in Lower Marsh, Waterloo. The dentist, Anna, professional and wonderful. In fact the whole team, from receptionist to nurses are the best I ever found in London. The dental practice is new and when I go there I get the feeling they are open just for me (they are not, but know how to make you feel at ease).
I have not connections to Tooth, just a very happy customer.
Found them last spring thanks to this site so thank you to London SE1 as well!!

There shouldn't be any need to see an hygienist.

Polishing and scaling should be performed by the dentist if needed:

Unfortunately many dentists in London think they are too important for a such a task. Or maybe they make more money by sending you to their hygienist, which is obviously not covered by the NHS?
