Hi All Has anybody any memories of the 'TIN HUT' on BOROUGH ROAD
where as kids we held cub meetings and sunday school meetings
We also had parties and lantern slide shows there. When you reached
11years of age you could join the BOY SCOUTS which held their meetings in ST GEORGES CRYPT at the BOROUGH, The scout troop was the 4th SOUTHWARK Any body about who belonged to it.
The TIN HUT pre-war done lots of SOCIAL- MEDICAL work and i believe
DR EDITH SUMMERSKILL was in attendence, She later became a minister in
the post-war labour government. CHEERS RICH
I must be one of the crypt scouts as I never saw the tinhut. I start in 1958 and ended up p/l of the Falcons. It was a very active group and won almost everything it entered like the 6 boy relay race across London bridge and back over Tower bridge. Anybody else take part?
