Disingenuous Paul Bates

The story posted below has made me really cross ... and I'm far from being an apologist for Mayor BJ. So far as I can tell, Mayor Johnson and his office can only have been responsible for about 3 months of this "delay", but reading the headline, and - indeed - much of the story, you'd think it was ALL their doing.

Paul Bates (quote the responsibility for some of those hold-ups lies at Southwark's door): surely you don't mean only "some of the hold-ups" but - in fact - "all except the most recent one"? You should grow a backbone and apportion blame where it's due: with your political cronies, the previous Mayoral incumbent and (probably) TfL.

I agree.

Luckily the article reminds us of the date when it was meant to be done - 2006.

At the end of the article we read New Kent Road is finally to be resurfaced. I made several complaints to TfL in 2007 about this road and received not even an acknowledgement. Now it is to be resurfaced; should I conclude like Paul Bates that this recent action is all down to Boris?
