Don't write something off for being 99p... I've found many a good buy in Poundland, a similar chain. It's usually on things that other people overcharge for like jiffy bags, disposable tableware etc.

I find pound shops sell more and more great stuff as time goes by - everything from shower gel to tins of crab meat. And advent calendars! It's often branded stuff - it turns out it's cheaper to import stuff from the north of England via India than direct on a lorry.

Anyway, who needs shoes? They cause knee and back pain, you end up with bunions, corns, hammer toes and collapsed arches, and they even cost you money!
