Dear Folks
My first life memories was from Queens Buildings, in Collinson street in D block on the top floor, I cant remember the number. I would of been 5 0r 6 years old when we was moved out in 1970 or 71. I went to 'Blackfriars infant school' then, the school name changed slightly different now. I remember Evelina Hospital, the funny triangler shape of the building & the rocking horse as you go in.

We was moved from QB Tenement block's to modern tower block ,Lakanal at Sceaux Gardens, Camberwell S.E.5..
Looking forward to connect with folks who lived there or connected to Queens buildings.
I've got some questions and stuff to share sometime soon.
All the best

I was born in J block scovell road in November 1947
Lived there in various flats until about 1960
I never realised they were " slums" until years later I heard the archbishop of Southwark talking about his missionary work there
I always thought we were middle class living just down the road from Buckingham Palace
