Simon Hughes position on Syrian intervention

Is anyone aware of our MP, Simon Hughes current position on intervention in Syria?
What is your view?

My view is: despite the terrible events in Syria there is nothing the West can do to ameliorate the situation. Only to make it worse. Iraq, Afghanistan etc., should make people realise that you cannot impose your culture and values on others. And to wade in and bring the Iranians and the Russians into another Middle East conflagration will serve no one. Agonising as it is - we can only sit on the sidelines, give money for the refugees, try and give safe passage to the ~Christians who are being slaughtered by Islamic extremists...what a mess.

Difficult to tell exactly but he voted for the Government motion last week and put his name to this article:

So I think his position can be fairly summarised as "in favour of lobbing some cruise missiles at some sites in Syria and hoping it works out well".
