Psssst

I may have had a glass of wine too many last night, I will be entering a month of self imposed exile, fear not, I will make sure the coast is clear and deliver my newest food fad, next week and beyond.

Right, the Chicken Chorizo can wait, it's a bit involved.

Chicken Tikka

4 x medium boneless chicken breasts
2 x tablespoons of lemon juice
1 cup plain yoghurt
1 x tablespoon of grated garlic
1 x tablespoon of grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon of cumin
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/3 teaspoon pepper.
Olive oil
Lime wedges to serve.

Chop chicken into cubes (decent size), prick with fork and throw into bowl with lemon juice, give a good swish around and leave it 5 mins, then add rest of ingredients.
Marinade for as long as possible, minimum 1 hour.
Put on skewers and brush with olive oil and grill under medium heat, after 6 mins, turn over and brush with Olive oil, grill again for a further 6 mins.

Of course, cooking times may vary.

Enjoy.

Mrs b has suggested a little Paprika next time, just to alter the colour.

I've been making my own garlic butter/bread, I wondered if there was such a thing as ginger butter and found this.....

It's quite nice, in an unassuming way.

Pea bhaji, lovely.

Didn't have Gram flour so used plain and had a lemon instead of lime. I made a mint yoghurt.

Really nice with the yoghurt.

Simple

Avocado and Sauerkraut sandwich using Alioli as butter, cracked black pepper.

Superb.
