although to be pedantic they should really be called 'vacuum cleaner accidents'...

I managed to push one straight through a set of french windows when I was a kid.
I thought they were open, and the carpet in the conservatory the other side was the same colour, so I just kept pushing, and it went straight into the glass, shattered everywhere. My parents were away, and I was trying to be helpfull. They were not too impressed. I had no pocket money for months after that.

"Immer wieder kommt es bei der Reinigung fliegender Teppiche zu tödlichen Unfällen"
"Using vacuum cleaners on flying carpets is a frequent cause of accidents"

I believe The Lancet, quite often carries accounts of the "accidents" which some gentlemen have had with their vacuum cleaners.

There was a whole tv show on Channel 5 about those "accidents" recently. It was enough to bring tears to your eyes.

Tharg - shame on you for rising to Roadrunner's bait.

We'll have none of that sort of thing here - this is a respectable bulletin board, not a Channel 5 "documentary".

Do you feel as rough as I do then Birdie?

I sure the kebab on the way home (opposite the Hartley) was a bad idea - especially the extra hot chilli sauce
