Thinking of Doris Day and her words, "When I was just a little girl, I asked my mother, what shall I be ...".

Did anyone's mother give them advice, useful or otherwise?

when i was a young kid my mother told me that peas have chocolate in the middle (as a ploy to get me to eat them) - I don't think it made me eat them at the time, and for a while i always complained and wouldn't eat them, but i'll eat them now.

she also told me that eating greens would make my hair grow curly.
