My name is James Matthews and have been a Southwark resident for about 7 years now, near to Bermondsey Square.
Love the area and the new vibrancy it seems to have acquired!
I am a portrait sculptor by profession and also run a fish stall down on the ropewalk Maltby Street market, hope to see some of you down there!
Best wishes to all,
Although I was born in the posh part of London, Deptford. I have lived in the north almost all my life, someone has to.
I am trying to trace my family tree and failing miserably.
My Dad says he had an Uncle Harry Brown who lived in Peabody Buildings Southwark. His wife was Aunt 'Em' and they had sons, Joe, George and possibly another son. Does anyone remember the Brown family in Peabody Buildings?
Hi, I have a family living in SE1 and feel very strongly about what's happening in this area. I do not want to see another Sainsbury's, Tesco or Morrison in SE1 (prompted by new Sainsbury's on Long Lane Road on a very dangerous corner and in support of independent traders) I love SE1.
