Someone has asked me if I might be interested in doing some reading and activities with children on Sundays between 12 and 3 in their restaurant.
(I am a trainee primary school teacher which is why they asked me).
I'm interested in doing it for the experience but I'm wondering if anyone has any advice about it from a health and safety and legal point of view?
I already have a copy of my Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Record Check Bureau (mandatory as a teacher), and I thought I would specify ages 3-8, and make sure we do activities that don't involve scissors or anything toxic.

?make sure you're covered by the restaurant's public liability insurance?

[only a guess - I'm sure someone else will be much more relevantly helpful]

...if you press it, they will come.

Once you start doing it (if all is ok obviously), please let us know. I have two children who would love to come and be a part of the group. Thanks.
