Any good solicitors out there?

Starting the process of buying my first flat and I am looking for a solicitors to handle the conveyancing and so on. I have had a search online and found loads but I have no idea which ones are any good.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also, any general pointers for a first buyer would be very welcome!

Thank you!

In terms of general pointers, get a good idea of what you want to buy, and then make sure you are in a position to move quickly - in the current market there are lots of buyers and not many properties. Being a first time buyer helps as the seller will be certain that you have no chain etc so make sure you tell the estate agents that you are free to move in at the convenience of the seller.
