so as some of you know, MrsR and I are going travelling around the world for 12 months.

This is our first installement:

I'm currently sat in my in laws office.
West Malvern is so lovely, with a gorgeous view right across Hereford, into Wales, and the Black Mountains on the horizon.
Friday today, and we will mostly be packing.
so much to do, and not enough time.

we fly on Monday to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

more soon.

we've arrived safely! hurrah!

long flight, 4 hours time diff, and i've woken up 'late' to find it's only 4am - so am using the free internet at the backpackers hostel in Halifax.

So - what's Halifax like then??
Tuesday 10 April 2007 9.50pm

a bit cold in the wind (about 2 degrees C), but nice in the sun.

It is one of the deepest natural harbours in the world, and the airport is Northern Americas' nearest mainland airport to Heathrow.

Glad to see you were doing Is that it at our 4.00 am. just shows you're on the ball and with us. 2 degrees,....brrrrr! We're going to be hitting 22 this weekend!

22! good grief!

it's warmer today over here - probably reached about 3 degrees.

on the way out, I briefly saw a newspaper headline that suggested temperatures in UK could reach 100F this summer!
Thursday 12 April 2007 7.58am
Well you may be even hotter wherever you will be at the time! But we'll keep you updated. Stay warm!

Do I understand correctly that Halifax is very temperature obsessed?

Having any fun?
