I am in the North Island, on the Coromandel Peninsula.

Wow - nice place! we travelled around there - which bit, west coast looking towards Auckland, near Thames, or top end Coromandel town, or east coast and the open ocean?

have you been to the 'Water Works' place, half way up the west coast and in a bit - it's really great fun.

Hot Water beach was good too!

East coast - open ocean. Well, sort of - we overlook Mercury Bay.

We're in Whitianga - it's about an hour's drive from Thames, and a bit less than that from Coromandel, and not too far from hot Water Beach. I've heard of the water works place, but haven't been yet. Where else did you go? Any plans to come back this way? If you have, we can put you up.

This is the view from our back garden.

Bloody hell - I am shortly going to send you all a picture of the view from MY place in Tel Aviv. I will not be beaten by TLMJJ - although it's a tall order I must say. Looks dreamy, TLMJJ, I'm saving for my ticket.
