Brighton is obviously very easy to get to on the train from London Bridge ... where else can you get to easily for a day out on the train?

Ramsgate, and Margate from... Waterloo?
Calais on the Eurostar

Waterloo to Bournmouth (may be a long day!)

Victoria or Ch Cross for Margate - takes under 2 hrs on a direct train. Same stations/times to Ramsgate

Victoria to Whitstable - direct trains taking 1hr 20 mins

London Bridge (or Victoria) to Brighton - direct trains taking up to 1hr 10 mins for rail info/journey planner

If you're heading for Bournemouth, check out - some very very cheap fairs!

I use it regularly for getting to family near Axminster and on several occasions have been lucky enough to get a return for 2.50, though as people cotton on to it it's getting more expensive. In August I'm going for 11.50.
