Has the search facility been upgraded to link posters' aliases?

When I just ran a search for posts by "hydrometer", it gives me all the posts from the previous mayoral election thread of four years ago by fellow BNP apologist "henry thomas"

No, there has been no recent change in this regard.

However, those who have been members since the early days may remember that originally everyone had two usernames - one to log in and another that was displayed with people's posts.

In an upgrade to the forum software in about 2004 the twin username thing was dropped and everyone's login name became their public-facing name too.

So posts by henry thomas after a certain date are labelled hydrometer, and posts by Michael Salkeld became mickysalt, etc etc
