The Scotia would be very appropriate. That said Simon's would be equally as good, as it's even closer to my house and I could crawl the distance in no time....

Kevin, you say it like I spend many an hour in the pub... Now, no comments from you Dan, thank you. I am, unfortunately, spending the evening at a friends house feasting on pancakes, so I will be unable to join you - however, if you flirt with the barman, I believe he will give you free chips and beer!

Let me know how you get on.

And the Winner is "Simon the Tanner"
for 26th .

Can we have a show of hands as to how many would like to be there on Thursday for 7 pm. I will be there from 6:30, wearing SE1 colours.

***Details***. I will be phoning them tomorrow, Wednesday with numbers. We will just have a couple of large tables together in the main bar. (tHERE IS No private room) They serve a good range of drinks, plus bar snacks. Not too noisy with music, not too smokey.
Kevin

BTW, Scotia Bar were v friendly also. But their room is up some steep stairs (TLMJJ was uppermost in my mind) Also, if a small number of us turn up we will feel lost.

I will post a further confirmation tomorrow with Simon the Tanner details.

Can I come? I'm torn between wanting to see what people are like and wanting to keep my existing ideas about them.

No problem there... I will be wearing a mask. For Lent.
