I hope I can get there before everyone goes, it'd be so nice to see people. I'll have to finish my mending my puncture, so I can get there quicker.

"Eats ducks and rats" would be a great book title, The Mapmaker (I'm going to drop the "The". Is that OK.

We could read it instead of that bloody Bill Bryson thing I'm slogging through for Book Club now.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow in SoBo at 12.30.

I'll be wearing a red cardigan & wrap (as a fair imitation of a walking pillar box) so I should be pretty easy to spot!

OK, Vanhoe. (Is it one of those irregular verbs. I Vanhoe?)

I reckon "Eats Ducks and Rats" should be the title of our forthcoming LondonSE1 book, to be written communally by a multitude of contributers. It could combine the erudition and punctuation pedantry often found in these threads, with the cooking hints we like to provide for each other.

We can start working on refining the concept, along with a chapter plan, over lunch tomorrow.

Great - I'm tall and have red curly hair. If I look a little lost grab me. See you all there.

Interesting question, Mapmaker. Many people nowadays say "I've a ho" instead. Especially, so I've heard, in the Hip Hop fraternity. But I believe that there is still an old guard who insist on keeping with "an".

I suppose, if you say: "I've an hotel", you probably also say: "I've an ho".

Oh, and congratulations on your acquisition of an ho. I hope this doesn't signal a rift between you and DC?

So that's I've an 'o ?
Tuesday 1 March 2005 2.36pm
OK. So you've got an 'o.

Now will you stop bragging about it, please.

I also think, however much you may claim that it's a word whose meaning isn't demeaning (if you get my meaning), it is likely to cause offence to those of us who don't share your love of "street" language.

Rabbie will also soon be here warning you that you'll soon be making SE1 appear on google searches for escort agencies and the like.
