Sounds interesting. Where is it?

It's in Southwark Street just past Southwark Bridge Road going East. By the way, we had lunch at the pie and mash place Manze on TBR today...lovely!

I'll happily go in to admire the tiles - but not to eat the food.

Not right my dear Jo, the pies were absolutely delicious, pastry crisp and light, proper meat filling and not horrible MSG. Next time I'll have two pies. alas no chips.

I was standing outside Manze's at lunchtime today; stomach rumbling, drooling. If I'd known that there would have been company, I should have gone in. Never been... yet!

Oh SAD James, but we shall meet tomorrow night and we shall rectify this missed opportunity. I recommend Manze's, it's a real taste of old London, there is an idiot-proof menu (one pie and one mash, one pie and two mash, two pies and one mash, two pies and two mash, and jellied eels.) I had a hot sarsparilla which I'd never known exactly what it was...it tasted like hot Ribena actually, but really hit the spot instead of a pudding. The Professor, being diabetic, had to pass on that one. And it's all cheap as....well, I was going to say chips, but that will excite too much comment.

Nobody seems to have thrown their hands up in horror about travelling to West Bermondsey in their lunch hour so I think that we can safely say The Mernier Chocolate Factory at 12.30 it is then.
Look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday (hopefully you too Juanita).
