Plum,

Why aren't you asking (little) Mapmaker whether he will be bringing anyone with him?

It would add to the sense of occassion.

Mapmaker will bring his tweed jacket and we shall continue to pry
into his and TLMJJ's future. He may also bring a plum tart because Plum missed the one he brought to the summer party. Or he may bring....oh shut up, it's seven oclock in the morning here in Tel Aviv and I'm just burbling on. See you on Firework Night.

Will Mr Hatt be at the head of the table?

We haven't had much success in luring him out so far (although he did come to last year's cider pressing) but you never know!

Menus from the Oak will be available in 2 weeks time I'm told.

Hello all, I finally have the Chistmas Party menus from The Royal Oak. 3 different menus, we have to decide if we want A, B or C. My vote goes to the basic Menu "A" as the duck last year was a little disappointing and B & C seem a little pricey - I'll happily go with the flow though if the majority fancy one of the others.

I need to know choice of menu ASAP then actual choices from that menu by 1st December latest.

Menu "A" - 22.00 per person

Starters:

Prawn Cocktail
or
Minestrone Soup
or
A fan of melon with fruits & Raspberry Coulis

We are easy, but Menu A looks fine. Not sure if I would want 'half a pineapple'.

And thanks for organising this. Now we have proper winter weather, Christmas feels closer.
