can we invite local hero Banksy as guest of honour? He's made as much of a contribution to SE1 as anyone.

and maybe next year the chap who resurrected the Borough market, George chappie. Actually I like the idea of a guest, because I feel that the character of our area is more about the people than the glitzy stuff being shoved up every day.

Erm, need to comment on the generalisation in your post, Kevin B - that 'George chappie' was not solely responsible for 'resurrecting' Borough Market.
