Cider meet up

If you've read other threads you may have noticed that Ivanhoe and myself are planning on meeting up to drink some locally produced SE1 cider.

anyone else out there who made some, or who would like to taste some, is more than welcome to come along.

Please can people suggest a venue, date, time, etc, and we'll organise something.

Any night next week, in a park, perhaps? We can do tasting, and then adjourn to a pub for more socialising.

You know I would love to do it by the electric tree at More London. We could then go to the Bridge House for some Aspalls cider (which would be about as different from ours as you could get - fizzy and sweeter and made from desert apples, but still good imho).

On a quick re-review, only for so long as we remain calm and none of us gets lairy.

I'm game so long as I find the time to rack my smaller container this weekend. Does it matter if I drink it only a few days after racking and bottling ? 18 or 19 July good for me.

yep, as soon as it's bottled, it's drinkable.

(some people even prefer to crack open the barrel and drink it without bottling it, but they're the proffesional drinkers!)

Yep. Tues or Weds are great. I really would like to do a tasting under the electric apple tree itself, if no one objects. It would be wonderfully absurd.

No, but I'd still like to meet up with you all and taste all yours. I've got some of my vintage 2005 to offer in return.
