My own country has this year decided to celebrate Queens day in SE1 (on the south bank, see What's on for details). I'll be going and have a little taste of all the nice things such as bitterballen, pannekoeken and most of all dropjes! I'm aiming to go there from around 14:00. Anyone up for it??

Another jolly I'm missing, oh dear. And I'm dying to try a dropje (what is it?).

Won't it be a thinly-disguised Ivanhoegaarden?

Oh I can't believe it! How sad.

A life-sized Nijntje giving away gifts to all the boys and girls, and we're going away for the weekend. I am devastated (or would be if we hadn't been to the Miffy Museum in Utrecht last month).

I would advise everyone to try the lovely drop. Especially if you can find the salted version. [TVFIC]

If anyone goes, please say hello to Miffy for me.

(Great name for a film where a DJ is stalked by a huge rabbit: Play Miffy for me)

...if you press it, they will come.

Cool - am meeting some other friends there as well and probably off for dinner somewhere after. See you tomorrow
