I won't be able to make the 9th as I'll either have just dropped this one I've been lugging around for the past 40 weeks and figuring out what the heck to do with it, or will be at the midwives getting a 'sweep'....oh the joy.....do keep me posted for the next meet up though.
Hodge - hope you're feeling better. Let us know if there's anything we can do! x
also not sure how many of you are riverside parents but they've won funding for soft play sessions (good for socialising even if your baby's too small to 'play' as such)....see below....
Riverside Parents has been successful in our Surestart grant for soft play sessions and the sessions are due to start at Downside in the next couple of weeks. The sessions will run Monday 3-5pm, Tuesday 10-12 and Friday 10-12 in the big hall downstairs where our Tuesday playdate currently runs on a Tuesday afternoon. We will have a great selection of balancing, jumping and brilliant soft play equipment for babies to under fives, including a specially cordoned off area for little ones, with squashy beanbags for breastfeeding, and a great selection of sensory equipment and a mini-ball pool for pre-walkers.
Our grant only covers sessions until 1 April when the need will be re-assessed so please, please come along to as many sessions as you can and spread the word to everyone you know so that the free sessions will continue to be funded and we can show how many people will use the service.
We'll let you know the moment we have a start date and in the mean time - are there any LAWYERS amongst us who can take a look at the insurance cover we have (via the NCT who we are organizing this with) to confirm that we are covered for everything we're doing. It looks pretty cut and dried to me but better safe than sorry. Please email [email protected] if you can help!
