I'd love to join you guys on Monday 9th, at 12. It's in the diary. I've just got my bump at the moment, with baby not due for another 2 months. Hope that's alright with y'all!

next Monday sounds good to me - meltdown slowing slightly and hopefully gone by then....x

I won't be able to make the 9th as I'll either have just dropped this one I've been lugging around for the past 40 weeks and figuring out what the heck to do with it, or will be at the midwives getting a 'sweep'....oh the keep me posted for the next meet up though.

Hodge - hope you're feeling better. Let us know if there's anything we can do! x

also not sure how many of you are riverside parents but they've won funding for soft play sessions (good for socialising even if your baby's too small to 'play' as such)....see below....

Riverside Parents has been successful in our Surestart grant for soft play sessions and the sessions are due to start at Downside in the next couple of weeks. The sessions will run Monday 3-5pm, Tuesday 10-12 and Friday 10-12 in the big hall downstairs where our Tuesday playdate currently runs on a Tuesday afternoon. We will have a great selection of balancing, jumping and brilliant soft play equipment for babies to under fives, including a specially cordoned off area for little ones, with squashy beanbags for breastfeeding, and a great selection of sensory equipment and a mini-ball pool for pre-walkers.

Our grant only covers sessions until 1 April when the need will be re-assessed so please, please come along to as many sessions as you can and spread the word to everyone you know so that the free sessions will continue to be funded and we can show how many people will use the service.

We'll let you know the moment we have a start date and in the mean time - are there any LAWYERS amongst us who can take a look at the insurance cover we have (via the NCT who we are organizing this with) to confirm that we are covered for everything we're doing. It looks pretty cut and dried to me but better safe than sorry. Please email [email protected] if you can help!

That is great news about Downside. I know Riverside Parents were trying to get that going. I will definately turn up at one of the sessions and will also mention it to my NCT group (no laywer there).

I just remembered that my mum will be in town from the 9th but I will try to turn up at Browns on Monday for at a bit - want to catch up with you and see your babies.

Just checking that people are OK for 12 today at Browns given the rain?! (I'll brave the downpour and throw on a mac if others are too!!).
Monday 9 February 2009 10.22am
i'll be there x
Monday 9 February 2009 10.25am
So will I, but how will I find you all? where inside Brown's.
Monday 9 February 2009 10.37am
I expect Browns will be pretty empty so shouldn't be too hard to find everyone. I'll be the one with large pram covered with plastic cover - and probably screaming baby as she is rather grumpy today!
