Hello ladies and babies,

Currently looking for a babysitter for 1 evening a week 7-10 pm, as the little one is almost 4 months old and we still haven't been out as a couple!

Any recommendations welcome.

Cheers

Hi Jana!
I can recommend a babysitter -have been using her for about 2 months and am happy. She works 4 days a week 9 to 4 pm close to the Elephant & Castle roundabout, 1 day somewhere in Bermondsey, but after hours she sees me& my little one once or twice a week (started using her when he was 6 months). If you email me on [email protected] I can give you her details etc.

I just wanted to let everyone know about a local yahoo group called Boroughbabies: http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/boroughbabies/

We are a group of over 200 local mums who all live in the Borough/Waterloo/Elephant and Castle area. The forum has loads of information about what is going on locally for mums and babies and is a great place to share information and ideas.

There is a regular meeting of BoroughBabies mums and babies at The Refinery every Wednesday where a group of local mums with pre-crawling babies meet up. There is free muffins and a lovely welcoming atmosphere: http://www.therefinerybar.co.uk/contact.php

Hi everyone,

I will be visitng London on Oct 15th and will be staying in Borough for three weeks, very close to the Borough tube station. I am looking to rent a highchair and all the websites I checked they are very expensive and charge exhorbitant prices to deliver. Does anyone know if locally someone rents baby equipments specifically a high chair. Will any of you consider renting me your high chair, if you are not using any more?

Thanks a lot!

Why not advertise on Boroughbabies - a local yahoo group as I'm sure someone will lend you one.

If anyone is interested in some exercise while socialising we have a Buggy Walk in Southwark Park on Wednesdays at 11am. It is led by Ida - a volunteer walk leader and includes some toning exercises as well as a good walk around the park.
Meet Ida by the cafe at 11am.
