Hi, Can someone please help and let me know who I should contact at Southwark Council for access to intake cupboard for gas/electric engineer? I am in process of having smart meter put in and the following email does NOT work [email protected]
Thank you boroughbloke, unfortunately the engineers do not seem to have the right key she had already tried the key she had. Now I am having a biggest headache trying to contact the right person. I have been trying all morning to no avail.
Pretty foolish to put a non standard key on an intake cupboard. In an emergency the utility would need to break the door! Good luck with Southwark. They are a bunch of muppets in my experience.
Hi i spent hrs on the phone to Southwark Repairs , Utilita & AES Engineers trying to sort out keys for the communual intake cupboard on my estate to change meters over
the email is [email protected]
The keys i found out are picked up from Peckham Library Service point which has no phone number , only an authorised engineer can pick them up , no one knows where any keys are anyway only the person at the email address above , after 4 visits (4whole days waiting in) an engineer finally got the key to the cupboard but found a huge yellow padlock and another keyhole on the communal fuse box inside the cupboard , hmmmm
So when you email them make sure they supply all the keys depending where you live in southwark . For me its been really long and frustating i feel like i have taken on a job as mediator for Southwark council and the energy company .I work out i had been 30 hrs on the phone trying to sort it out ! Still isn't done yet!!!! Good luck :)
I am also having trouble having smart meters installed. British Gas came twice and every time they failed to locate the cupboard key even though they reassured me on the phone when we booked the appointments that the engineers knew how/where to collect it from the Council...
