This is my first post here as I'm moving in London very soon now and thought SE1 would be a nice place to live.

I'm not 100% sure though and wanted to ask you all for advice:

I'll be working near Tower Hill station, and my main priority is to be able to go there really fast (walking, bus or tube, I really don't care but I'm aiming at <15mn door to door, even after 21.00)

My budget is +-170pw, and I want to live in a nice neighborhood.

Any areas you think are best (in and out of SE1)

Hoping to join your community real soon,

Thanks a lot!

Sorry to be disloyal to SE1 - but try Wapping - E1W postcode.

Bus routes 78 and 42 cross the river calling at Tower Hill. They join at Bermondsey Square ,so that might be a good area to start. see for info on the area and a list of agents.

Shad Thames is good.
Ah, but that 170 per week would be more like 170 per day in Shad Thames.
Does anybody else look in the window of the Cluttons at Butlers Wharf and think "How much???!!!"
