Nexus Health Group: launch of GP practice for 60,000 patients

Four NHS GP practices spanning SE1, SE17, SE5 and SE15 have merged to create the Nexus Health Group.

Since the start of August the Aylesbury Partnership, Bermondsey & Lansdowne Medical Mission, Princess Street Group Practice and the Walworth Partnership have been part of a single organisation called Nexus Health Group.

The four practices which make up Nexus operate on eight sites including four locations in SE1:

• Princess Street, Elephant & Castle
• Decima Street, Bermondsey
• Artesian Health Centre, Bermondsey Spa
• Dun Cow Surgery, Old Kent Road

There will be some disruption to the services offered by the eight surgeries on certain Friday afternoons in July and August whilst the patient databases are combined.

The Nexus Health Group name was chosen after a competition among staff.

With around 60,000 patients, Nexus is the largest GP practice in London.
