"We decided to go with a film that we felt perhaps didn’t quite hit the big-time or achieve the respect it deserved and was the one film above all that we really wanted to watch again. This is an almost perfect piece of filmmaking, a harmony of script, acting, direction and cinematography.

"Colin Firth is magnificent, but equally as good were Julianne Moore and Nicholas Hoult in arguably his finest performance to date, whilst Tom Ford took to directing like a duck to water, taking Christopher Isherwood’s novel to the big screen in a triumphant piece of stylish yet understated and heartfelt filmmaking.
