Cecil Beaton was a British writer, cartoonist, diarist, socialite and Oscar-winning designer but he is best remembered as the leading portrait and fashion photographer of his day.
IWM exhibition, Cecil Beaton: Theatre of War, presents over 250 of Beaton's rarely seen wartime photographs alongside his personal diaries, drawings and work in film, showcasing material from IWM's own extensive collection as well as loans from all major British holders of Beaton's work.
Join the experts who have played a role in preserving Beaton’s legacy including Hugo Vickers, Beaton’s biographer and literary trustee, and representatives from IWM, Royal Opera House and National Portrait Gallery.
