The Koestler Trust's 52nd exhibition of art by offenders, secure patients and detainees, invites visitors to enter an atmospheric bunker, filled with images, objects, sounds and films that reveal personal reflections, regrets and hopes.
Speech Debelle has selected the works from over 7,000 submissions to the 2013 Koestler Award, by prisoners, secure patients and immigration detainees from across the country.
In a ground-breaking employment initiative, ex-offenders are being recruited to host the exhibition throughout its 10-week run, keeping an eye on the exhibits and welcoming the public - over 20,000 of whom visited the exhibition last year.
