as recorded through the fine and popular arts

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Based on a collection of paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, posters, photographs and ephemera the exhibition records The Great War as it was seen in both official and unofficial art.

Through presenting examples of the Fine Arts together with the Popular Arts the exhibition seeks to examine the difference between various responses to war – and how different groups, (women, soldiers, pacifists etc.) were presented.

Presented by Liss Fine Art in association with Morley Gallery.
