Borough New Music Series 3 presents the pianist Ben Smith in a solo concert.
The programme begins with the London premiere of The Palace of Light by the Scottish composer Robert Reid Allan. The title comes from a now disused public underground toilet in Glasgow which was a notorious meeting place for gay and bisexual men in the late 20th century.
Conlon Nancarrow's Three Canons for Ursula are a virtuosic and complex set of three mathematical canons which demonstrate each hand playing in different tempos.
Julian Anderson's new work for solo piano, Sensation, closes the concert.
Feel free to bring your lunch. Light refreshments served afterwards.
