This year is the 50th anniversary of the the strike by the women sewing machinists at Ford Motor Company's Dagenham plant in east London.

This historic moment triggered the Equal Pay Act of 1970 and inspired women across the world.

In the era of #MeToo and the recent gender pay gap reporting, the brave actions of the Ford Dagenham women has encouraged women to fight for equality and continue their important work.

The 50th anniversary of his historic moment inspired the Quay Players Amateur Dramatics Society to perform the Made in Dagenham musical and promote the bravery and courage of the Ford Dagenham women.
