Explore Mahler's Symphony No. 1 at this open rehearsal with the Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra. Find out why the piece was such a landmark in transforming what we think of as a symphony, and listen to musical examples played by the orchestra, with commentary from conductor Christopher Stark. Open to all ages, this promises to be a lovely hour of music on its own, as well as an appetiser for the concert on Sunday 16 June.
