Bach St John Passion at Southwark Cathedral

Join the City of London Sinfonia on Good Friday for a performance of the St John Passion: the great sacred work that combines gripping human drama with the genius of Bach's music to tell the story of Jesus' final days.

With baritone Roderick Williams in the role of Jesus, and Joanne Lunn aa the Evangelist to guide the audience through the story.

Furthermore, CLS will join forces with the Choir of Southwark Cathedral and a quartet of emerging soloists, cast by Roderick Williams.

The piece will be sung in English and directed by Alexandra Wood and Iain Farrington.

You can choose to experience the performance in your own way with flexible seating configurations positioned in the Nave or in-promenade exploring the majestic architecture and changing acoustics throughout the Cathedral.
