Wyndham Lewis as Artist and Soldier

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

One of the leading artists of the early 20th century and promoter of the Vorticist (English Expressionist) group, Wyndham Lewis, like so many others, joined up in 1914 but fortunately survived the war.

His autobiography is a fascinating picture of the art scene and his time in the Army.

Introduced by John Calder and read by Godot Company actors.
