Sugar Snap

On the 40th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality, 'Sugar Snap' by Alex Cooke is a witty exploration of the first generation of 'out' older gay men. It focuses on the story of Frazier, a successful photographer stuck in a late-life crisis about his failed ambitions, lost loves and loneliness. The mentoring of a student awakens his creative flair and need for emotional attachment, but also sends him into a delusional state which unravels everyone around him.
