The Resistance, as a part of the "black years" of the Occupation, is part of the issue of the memory that is still very much alive. As a glorious memory, it was instrumentalised at the Liberation, and subsequently, it left its mark on most governments. Pierre Beuchot has sought to understand the development of this memory by asking former members of the Resistance to give their views on the major events in which they played a role.
