Two former child refugees from Nazi Europe remember their flight to this country.
Vera Schaufeld grew up in Czechoslovakia and Otto Deutsch in Austria. With the Nazi expansionism of the late 1930s the families of both feared for their futures and decided to send their children to Britain for safety.
Illustrated accounts of their past histories from Mrs Schaufeld and Mr Deutsch will be followed by a musical performance by the Solaris Quartet, the group of musicians who have made the revival of music composed in the Nazi transit camp Terezin their speciality.
