Rewrite Gala

This event has been put together by Southwark Playhouse's Street Geniuses. The Gala event will involve announcing winners, showcasing films etc, and the event will kick off at 7pm.

Southwark Playhouse's Street Geniuses have organised a Gala Event, where: films from the Rewrite competition will be showcased. The films being showcased would be under the themes: Remake, Rewind and Reprogramme 'so if you curious what the themes are pop down'. People who helped create the project will give small speeches, and persons attending will socialise. There will be free food, drinks and music to unwind to.

This event is part of the Street Genius project that SOWF (Some Other Way Forward) has been running to try and attract more young people to the South Bank and Bankside cultural quarter.

As part of their project the Street Geniuses at Southwark Playhouse have been running a mobile film competition for young people between the ages 15 to 20. This competition was put together to give young people something to do for summer and also to help them get recognised.

The Gala Event will be hosted by the two Street Geniuses, Jade and Ardilson. The Rewrite Gala Event is opened to anyone who is interested in attending and it's free.
