Film Funday

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

It is 2700. Mankind has long since had to leave the earth and WALLE (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth Class) has lived alone on the planet for several hundred years doing what he was built for. WALLE may hold the key to whether mankind can return and this is realised by EVE, a sleek search robot who stumbles across the galaxy. Having been nominated for just about every major film award over the past year, WALLE returns to BFI Southbank.

Come along before the screening and create your very own robot. From initial drawings and ideas to the making and filming of your creation - the BFI help you bring your unique robot to life. Take inspiration from WALLE himself and give your robot a special purpose: maybe they should save the world... or just clean your bedroom for you! With the usual competitions and prizes galore, this is a Robot Funday extravaganza not to be missed.

  • Cert U
  • Workshop from 11am; screening from 2pm
