Beckett's Stirring Still

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Samuel Beckett’s last novella, written after he had decided to write no more, was the result of his American publisher – who had lost his firm – requesting one more text. Semi-autobiographical, it describes a housebound author, who in his mind travels outside his room to another life. An actor from the Godot Company reads this nostalgic, beautiful text, with its echoes of approaching oblivion.
