Southwark youngsters who fancy trying out a new sport should head down to Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park this Friday for the annual Southwark community sports day.
And who better to show how it's done than Samson Oni, a Southwark sports coach and potential 2012 Olympic high jumper, who'll be on hand to offer advice and encouragement.
Children of all ages are being urged to make the most of Southwark Council's second community sports day which will give them a chance to try out sports from tennis to football to rugby.
Qualified coaches will be on hand to guide novices through the basics and offer help on the next steps in taking up the sport for good
Also on display will be the council's portable athletics track, for those who want to try their hand at running, jumping and throwing.
The event, which is being run in partnership with leisure provider Fusion, is expected to see around two hundred children taking part.
Representatives from Millwall FC, Southwark Tigers Rugby Club, Southwark City Tennis Club and Kickstart will be there.
