Project Morrinho is a social and cultural project based at the Pereira da Silva favela in the southern zone of Rio de Janeiro. Their aim is to bring positive change to the local community, as well as challenge the popular perception of Brazil's favelas.
Members of the team develop an outdoor favela at Southbank Centre, together with members of Lambeth's Portuguese speaking community. An indoor urban cityscape, made out of recycled materials, is also constructed in the Royal Festival Hall with Lambeth primary schools, and animated with drop-in weekend workshops for families.
