YOCO Open Mic Night at Southwark Playhouse

Southwark Playhouse Young Company (known as YOCO) is a new dynamic theatre company dedicated to advancing the raw talent of young people today.

YOCO knows how hard it is for young people to showcase their abilities to a wide audience which is why they have set up a monthly Open Mic Night, where young performers are given a chance to showcase what they have created in front of a paying audience.

This month’s theme will be MUSIC. If you have a passion for dance and song then you might want to get involved!

YOCO expects to have a host of talent from local youth groups as well as the public.

Open Mic Night is a platform for young people to express themselves artistically and freely. Whether it is singing your favourite tunes or just showing your flash moves, everyone is welcome to demonstrate their passion for performance. Each Open Mic Night has a theme so no two shows will be the same!

To keep tabs on the YOCO’s performances please call Ellen Hughes on 020 7407 0234 or email [email protected].

YOCO is free to attend for young people between 14 and 19 years of age. The youth theatre is run on Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings each week. For those who are interested in joining YOCO please get in touch via email or telephone.

YOCO is a youth-led theatre who help fundraise their own shows as efficiently as they can.

At the door please give a donation to help enable YOCO to deliver more exciting performances and to help support their growing popularity.
