Nigel of Bermondsey

Join Nigel of Bermondsey on a guided walk from Borough to Bermondsey with musical performances performed at the locations that inspired them.

The walk ends at the Angel pub on the riverside.

The view from the pub would be even finer if the statue of Dr Alfred Salter was still on the bench next door.

After the statue was stolen in November 2011, a group of local people formed a campaign to raise funds for new statues of Dr Salter and his wife, Ada.

All proceeds from this walk will go to the Salter Statues Campaign.

Nigel of Bermondsey is a South London singer-songwriter, storyteller and folklorist. He sings songs about Bermondsey, Rotherhithe, Walworth, Wapping, Bloomsbury, the Royal Parks, London under and over.
