About this role

1 Assisting in the publication and review of new and existing pregnancy information literature

2 Assisting with stock control

3 Managing design and print suppliers as necessary

4 Assisting with supporter communications (e-comms and print)

5 Ensuring total consistency and uniformity of Tommy’s brand. Training Tommy’s staff as required to ensure compliance

6 Assisting with the development of marketing and fundraising materials

7 Assisting with the maintenance of online communications, ensuring that content on the Tommy’s website is maintained and updated on a regular basis

Person description

Essential
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organisational skills – prioritising, juggling tasks and meeting deadlines
• Excellent IT skills
• Excellent proof-reading, editing and writing skills AND/OR excellent graphic design skills and experience
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Indesign, and QuarkXPress
• Good understanding of the publishing process
• Marketing communications experience


Desirable
• Experience of working with Content Management Systems
• Negotiation skills – to ensure best price and contracts are obtained from external suppliers (eg for design, print and mailing costs)
• Database skills (training will be provided as required for Tommy’s database (Raisers Edge)
